Welcome at CAMbase!

CAMbase is a virtual search engine with modern XML-based retrieval-technology, that enables the user to easily find relevant literature of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) in different ressources.

The CAMbase project was initiated 1998 from the Chair of Medical Theory and Complementary Medicine at Witten/Herdecke University with financial support of the Karl-and-Veronica-Carstens-Foundation and the German Federal Ministry of Research and Technology (BMBF). It is the aim of CAMBase, to provide a systematical overview on relevant literature of CAM.

Under the acronym OPEN-CAM, from 2003-2005, the CAMbase-Project is financially supported as a joined project of the Library and Chair of Medical Theory of Witten/Herdecke University by a National Grant of the German Research Foundation (DFG).
